# Quickstart

> Give your agent an email address and send its first reply.

Artil gives your agent its own email, SMS number, and a place to keep credentials.

    Open [Artil](https://app.artil.dev), create or choose an agent, and copy its
    email address.

    artil auth login
    ```

    Choose the same agent in the browser.

  <Step title="Read an email and reply">
    Send an email to your agent, then check its inbox:

    ```bash theme={null}
    artil email list --limit 5
    ```

    Use the message ID from the list:

    ```bash theme={null}
    artil email read "mail:<message-id>"
    artil email send --reply-to "mail:<message-id>" -- "Connected."
    ```

    Check your own inbox for the reply.
